Mental Health Apps available

Mental health apps are tools which can be accessed via our smartphones devices. They tend to focus on different topics like reducing stress, anxiety and improving sleep. A lot of mental health apps offer different types of techniques and strategies. Most of them have been endorsed by licensed healthcare professionals.

Some are free apps, whilst others have a small monthly charge.

  • Mindset App – tips to change mindset and improve mental health. Dr Michael Yapko provides many of the items 
  • Teens + : 13 – 25 years Join My Circle for support, discussions and connecting with others 
  •  Children and Teens:  Connect with Niggle for describing help your feelings and deciding what to do with them 
  • Smiling Mind – for tips and suggestions on mindfulness 
  • Headspace – for tips on mindfulness, reducing anxiety, improving sleep
  • Happify – tips on howto turn around negative thoughts and the science behind happiness
  • Breathe, think, do with Sesame Street– app for children with tips on problem solving, breathing, self control and planning
  • Mindshift – focus is on Anxiety and deals with worry, panic and anxiety tips and suggestions.
  • Nerva – for tips on IBS management
  • Evia – a mental health app for women suffering from Menopause challenges  with tips on how  deal with  the symptoms.
  • Mindset: Hypnotherapy & Sleep  tips and programmes on how to improve your sleep habits and patterns.
